For your information, I just got healthcare insurance coverage through Freelancersunion.com as those of us on unemployment and working as 1099's need to figure out this stuff.  Write me with questions about his coverage.

So, tell me how exactly does this shit work.  I see a job posting and I send my resume because I fit most or all the requirements for the job.  Correction.  I fit all the requirements.  I don't hear anything back accept a general e-mail that my application and resume were received and if there's a match someone will call.  It might take a few days.  And I'm thinking.  A few days?  What the fuck is HR doing?  Running the company picnic?  Preparing for health day?  Boning up on HIPPA regulations.  Removing benefits from full-time workers?  Firing the experienced?  Taking a slightly longer lunch break?  Hiring additional interns and associates and inexperienced workers to fill office space?  Isn't my resume (and carefully crafted cover letter) racing into the hands of HR so they can make an immediate decision?  isn't that what HR does for a living?  they said they were hiring like, now.  I send my resume and... talk to me.  What is the deal?

This is Allan.  The guy in the picture or the photo if you're more inclined.  My current situation is both hopeful and depressing as I am currently a 60 year old business development guy with scads of experience looking for work.  I will leave it at that for the moment as I need to get back to my search and I'm not certain which way to travel on this blog.  Stay tuned.
